Digital x-rays:
Our office uses digital radiography to take and evaluate x-rays. Digital x-rays use less radiation than traditional film x-ray and is able to produce high-quality images. These images can then be evaluated on a large flat-screen monitor and allows for easier detection of any problems. It is also easier for patients to see and understand what is happening with their teeth.
Crowns and Bridges:
If your teeth are damaged or decayed, crowns may be constructed to restore them back to their original form. If you have missing teeth, a bridge may be utilized. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are referred to as “fixed” dentistry as opposed to a restoration of missing teeth with a removable appliance or partial denture.
Dentures:
Denture is a removable tooth replacement option for patients who need all their teeth replaced. It is crafted to provide the characteristics the patient desires.
Root canals:
Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is a dental procedure in which the diseased or damaged nerve of a tooth is removed so that the tooth can be saved or restored.
veneers:
If your teeth are chipped, broken, or discolored, porcelain veneers are a great way to change the color and shape of your teeth. A porcelain veneer is a thin, semi-transparent tooth shaped “shell” covering over the tooth that gives natural color and bridges small gaps. Veneers can be a great alternative to braces for slight orthodontic problems and provide a beautiful smile in a short amount of time.
teeth whitening:
Our office uses a variety of teeth whitening techniques, including Zoom. Zoom teeth whitening is the revolutionary in-office process that gets your teeth their whitest in just over an hour. We also have our in-home teeth whitening kits with custom-made trays that are easy to use and great results are achieved in 4 to 6 weeks.
Bonding:
Bonding is covering the front surface of teeth with durable plastic to either change the tooth’s color or shape, close slight spaces between teeth, or improve the appearance of a discolored or chipped tooth. Bonding is similar to veneers, but not as strong, but it is a low-cost way to improve your smile. Bonding is great for children who have chipped front teeth and for adults who need an alternative for veneers and understand the limitations.
Composite and amalgam:
We offer both composite and amalgam filling options for our patients. Dental amalgam is a mixture of metals, consisting of liquid mercury and a powdered alloy composed of silver, tin, and cooper. It is strong, long-lasting, and the least expensive type of filling material. Composite resin is an alternative to traditional amalgam filling. The fillings are white to blend into the natural tooth.
